Thekla has defeated Kris Statlander in a 2 out of 3 falls match at AEW’s Revolution on Sunday. Thekla won the first and last falls of the match.
The champion rolled up Statlander with a bridge and held onto the bottom rope without the referee’s attention to get the three-count and the first fall. The second fall went to Statlander after hitting Thekla with the Staturday Night Fever.
Statlander kept right on the champion as the bell rang for the third fall. She went right after her for another Staturday Night Fever. Thekla raked her eyes and sent Statlander into the referee. Thekla grabbed the belt of the fallen referee and went to use it on Statlander. She brought it in to whip her opponent, but Statlander stopped Thekla and did some whipping of her own. Statlander hit another Staturday Night Fever, but no one was there to count.
The Sisters of Sin, Skye Blue and Julia Hart, hit the ring to attack Statlander, but she took them both down with clotheslines. Statlander grabbed the belt again and went to use it, but this time the referee was back up and took his belt back. Statlander found herself into a Thekla spear. The champion pinned Statlander to win the third and final fall.
