Three Becomes The Magic Number: Becky Lynch And Liv Morgan Grab Their Third Reigns

With the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles changing hands to Brie Bella and Paige earlier in the show, we now have two new champions at WrestleMania. And both new champions have started their third reigns.

First, Becky Lynch has become a three-time WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion after defeating her adversary AJ Lee. Heading into this match, Lee had defeated Lynch at every encounter. Lynch was desperate to make sure she would become champion, even with Jessika Carr as the official.

Lynch and Carr got a bit physical in the match with some shoving. Lynch ran into Lee who delivered a ManHandle Slam for a near fall. A bit later on, Lynch exposed the top turnbuckle. Lee ran towards her into the corner, but Lynch put Carr in between them to block the blow. As Carr was catching her wind, Lee was driven into the turnbuckle.

A ManHandle Slam from Lynch landed a final moment for a three count to regain the belt.

Later in the night, Liv Morgan would become a three-time and new Women’s World Champion. She defeated Stephanie Vaquer, ending La Primera’s reign at 211 days. Morgan made her way to the ring to her own new entrance music, Trouble.

Of course Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez made their appearance to distract and interfere. Vaquer was able to take them out on the outside, however, Morgan drilled her into the steel steps. Back in the ring, Morgan hit a big codebreaker followed by ObLIVion to win her third world title.
