Thunder Rosa Relinquishes Title, Two Women Return On AEW Dynamite

It was a rather eventful night throughout the women’s division during the Thanksgiving edition of AEW Dynamite.

Two returns took place as Julia Hart appeared alongside the returning House of Black, and Red Velvet re-aligned with The Baddies during a backstage segment. TBS Champion Jade Cargill announced they will hold a Baddies Celebration next week in Indianapolis, however they will be one member short. The segment ended with Mark Sterling informing Kiera Hogan that she has been let go from the group.

Renee Paquette announced that due to the uncertainty of Thunder Rosa’s injury and when she will return, she has officially relinquished her title. As a result, Jamie Hayter is the new AEW Women’s World Champion with no “interim” involved. Additionally, Toni Storm‘s interim reign is now being recognized as a legitimate reign without the asterisk next to it.

Following the announcement, Hayter and Britt Baker went on to compete in a three-way tag match against Tay Melo & Anna Jay and Skye Blue & Willow Nightingale. Baker won the match for her team after curb stomping Blue.

The Black Friday edition of Rampage will air at 4 p.m. EST and will feature Hikaru Shida in action, plus we’ll hear from Storm for the first time since losing her title at Full Gear.
