Thunder Rosa vs. Mercedes Martinez added to Feb. 4 AEW Rampage

Thunder Rosa and Mercedes Martinez are finally going to go at it since Martinez made her official debut in AEW.

In the last few days of 2021, Martinez shockingly appeared on AEW Dynamite when she attacked Thunder Rosa costing her a shot in the finals of the TBS Championship Tournament. Jade Cargill would win that last semi-finals match as a result and would go on to defeat Ruby Soho becoming the inaugural champ.

Since then, the pending bout between the two has taken a slight backseat but video promos have aired hyping up the brewing feud. The two will battle on the Feb. 4 episode of Rampage.

During last night’s episode of Rampage, Cargill retained her title in her second defense against Julia Hart. This was Hart’s first championship bout. Cargill was able to hit Jaded in the end to retain the gold.

Set for the next episode of Dynamite on Feb. 2 will be Ruby Soho facing Nyla Rose. This will be a rematch from their encounter in the semi-finals for the TBS Championship Tournament.
