Hola a todxs and welcome to the CMLL Weekly Review! Last night at the Leyenda de Plata event.
The CMLL World Women’s Champion Persephone took on Tessa Blanchard, things escalated quickly for both of them after some ruthless aggression from the champion to Tessa prompting a couple of brawls that ended up in a challenge for the CMLL Women’s title.
This was Blanchard’s most important match ever since returning to CMLL. She came in dressed in silver honoring El Santo, While Persephone did not hesitate one bit , attacking her in the middle of her entrance.
No strangers to each other the match was a pretty competitive encounter full of reversals and near falls.
Near the end Tessa kicked out of the crucifix powerbomb to the surprise of everyone, forcing Persephone to take height and after a diving moonsault she got the three count to retain her title.
The Mexican National Women’s Champion India Sioux also defended her title this time against former AEW’s Women’s Champion, Thunder Rosa.
Coming from Tijuana’s Tombstones and wearing a floral headpiece Rosa came in with a goal in mind the same one ever since she stepped foot in Arena México.
Last night she was made as she consolidated herself in the lucha world becoming the NEW Mexican National Women’s Champion.
