A new face has graced the poster of WWE’s upcoming Night of Champions event. Where once was featured the WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley, now has the WWE Women’s United States Champion, Tiffany Stratton.
It was announced on the June 12 episode of SmackDown that Ripley injured her knee during the recent European tour. Commentary stated that she was being evaluated to see how much time she may miss.
Stratton replacing Ripley on the poster won’t necessarily mean she will be utilized at the premium live event. WWE has a habit of advertising talents and them going a different direction. However, if Stratton does defend at the event, then this will be the first time in the existence of the Women’s U.S. Title that it will be defended on a premium live event.
It was hinted on SmackDown that Jade Cargill may be going after the U.S. Title.
