Tonight on AEW Dynamite, we set the stage for some big title matches we have in store for the coming week.
Thekla responds to the challenge AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander had laid out. She gives Statlander one week to enjoy her life, and that next week she wants her shot at the title. The Sisters of Sin also have their eyes set on gold, as Julia Hart challenges Willow Nightingale for the TBS Championship on Collision.
Statlander is down for the challenge, and if anyone wants to respond, she challenges anyone in the women’s locker room to an Eliminator match on Collision. Nightingale is also ready to give a beatdown on Hart as she accepts her challenge. Despite being out of the action, Harley Cameron is determined to put a stop to anything that Skye Blue might be up to.
Statlander’s Eliminator match is accepted and is set to face Isla Dawn this Saturday on Collision.
Tonight, the tag team scene in AEW looks to get hot as Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford face off against The Timeless Lovebombs, Mina Shirakawa and “Timeless” Toni Storm.
The Timeless Lovebombs immediately charge after Bayne and Ford as the match gets underway. But, “The Megasus” proves to be too much as she launches Shirakawa over Storm’s head for a hard landing. Bayne then follows up by throwing her own partner on The Timeless Lovebombs.
Shirakawa is in deep trouble after that hard fall, but dropkicks Bayne to get the hot tag out. Storm is on fire, as The Timeless Lovebombs send both their opponents packing to the outside with their assets.
The match begins to break down, but as Shirakawa showboats into the Figure-four, Bayne puts a stop to it. Bayne and Ford hit the Doomsday Device to pick up the win. Meanwhile, Marina Shafir incapacitates Storm on the outside with her Mother’s Milk.
