TNA Cuts Down to Four Live Pay Per Views in 2013

tnaTNA has announced today it will be dropping eight of its annual pay per views, delivering just four live events per year, starting with this Sunday’s Genesis pay per view.

TNA’s next live pay per view will be in March for Lockdown (moved from April), followed by Slammiversary in June and Bound for Glory in October.

The company will present seven taped pay per view specials throughout the year and these will be available on demand. The first two shows will have tag team and X-Division themes, so it’s very likely one of the seven taped shows could feature the Knockouts exclusively.

TNA President Dixie Carter said: “The pay-per-view industry has changed so much in the last decade. The traditional pay-per-view wrestling model needed to evolve and we believe this strategy will positively impact not only the Pay-Per-View events but the weekly television programming as well.”
