TNA and NXT are set to battle it out for the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Titles!!
Three teams have valid claims and reasons why they should be getting a tag title shot: former champions Spitfire, NXT’s Meta-girls, and NXT’s Tatum Paxley & Gigi Dolin. They all approached Heather by Elegance who broke down (without her co-champion Ash) and agreed to take on all of the teams.
This is the second Knockouts match that has been added to Rebellion. Masha Slamovich will be defending the Knockouts World Title against Tessa Blanchard.
The Meta-Girls and Paxley/Dolin have an opportunity to become double tag team champions if one of them wins at NXT’s Stand & Deliver this Saturday and then defeats the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champkons. They are in a Fatal Four Way which includes Cora Jade & Roxanne Perez and Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley & Jacy Jayne). The winner of that faces the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions on the April 22 episode of NXT.
The current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions are Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez, but they face Bayley and the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Lyra Valkyria this weekend at WrestleMania.
So could the Meta-Girls of Paxley/Dolin be walking into TNA’s Rebellion already as champs? Rebellion takes place on April 27.
