AEW Collision was on a special night and aired on Thursday, April 17 instead of its normal Saturday showing. In the main event, the team of Kris Statlander & Julia Hart took on Mercedes Moné & Harley Cameron. The AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm was on commentary.
In a shocking result, Statlander and Hart picked up the win. This is the second time in a month that Moné and Cameron lost in tag team action. The first was against Hart and Athena. Both times Cameron took the fall and Moné still hasn’t been pinned or submitted in AEW.
Post-match, Statlander and Storm had a staredown. There are three women left vying for the Owen Hart cup victory, the winner to challenge Storm at All In. Moné has punched her ticket to the finals after a win over Athena and Statlander will challenge Jamie Hayter on Dynamite next week.
Megan Bayne was in action on Collision as well. She defeated both Ashley Vox and Rebecca Scott in less than 90 seconds.
