Toni Storm Original All Out Plans; Heat Between Thunder Rosa And Others

On this week’s AEW Dynamite, fans found out that Thunder Rosa is injured and is not able to compete in her match against Toni Storm at All Out on Sept. 4. Instead, there will now be a Four-way match to crown an interim champion between Toni Storm, Dr. Britt Baker, Jamie Hayter, and Hikaru Shida. Fightful Select has provided some insight on what was originally planned between Rosa and Storm and they have also provided additional notes on the Rosa heat that has been talked about on social media recently.

Fightful confirms the report from Voice of Wrestling that indicates that Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa can’t stand each other. This has reportedly been the case for well over a year now. The two attempted to remain professional and work with each other, and from that Fightful was told they would remain open to doing so for the sake of simply doing their jobs. However, in addition, Jamie Hayter has also developed heat with Rosa after she got her nose broken in a match at Battle of the Belts III. Much of the heat on Rosa has emerged from her working stiff in the ring.

Original plans according to what Fightful can confirm was for Storm to defeat Rosa at All Out to win the AEW Women’s World Championship. Now she will still compete for the interim title against Baker, Hayter, and Shida but it has not been confirmed on the creative plans for the winner of this match.

Fightful has had talent contact them from both sides of things regarding Rosa. Many said that she’s worked hard to help get other young women’s talent booked and others that perceive her as developing an ego and being difficult to work with. Those from Rosa’s indie promotion Mission Pro Wrestling have positive things to say about her leadership when she is around.

There was more to the reports going around that Rosa hid in the bathroom after the Hayter spot that broke her nose. Fightful cannot confirm at this time if that took place.

Rosa was said to be injured which is why she will not be at All Out but the actual injury is unknown and is speculated to be related to bulging discs. The extent of the injury isn’t known, but it isn’t kayfabe. Fightful has reached out to Rosa but haven’t heard back.
