Former AEW Women’s World Champion Britt Baker hasn’t appeared on AEW programming for over a year. Her last appearance was a victory over Penelope Ford in November of last year. She had an awkward confrontation on screen with Serena Deeb and has been missing in action ever since.
AEW CEO Tony Khan sat down with Ariel Helwani in a new interview. He spoke on Baker and stated that he has hopes for her return. He stated that he loves and respects Baker, and is looking for the right time to bring her back. He says he’s had great talks with her and that she is a great person both in and out of the ring.
He said he believes Britt will be back in AEW, and hopes soon. He wants it to be the right situation for her, too and make sure she is healthy.
Baker was the first contracted women’s wrestler in AEW in 2019.
