We have finally arrived at the top 10 of Diva Dirt’s countdown of the top 40 WWE women’s matches of 2025. These last entries underscore just how strongly the women of WWE defined the company this year, delivering a level of consistency and in-ring excellence unlike anything we’ve seen in years past.
As we begin the final stretch of the list, today’s matches reflect much of what made 2025 so special. Veterans reached new, unexpected peaks while rising stars cemented their place in a one-of-a-kind division of talent. With so much quality packed into the top 10, we’ll be counting down two matches a day from here on out to give each entry the space it deserves. The next two matches are gritty, technical, electric showdowns fully deserving of their place on this list, pushing the women involved to their absolute limits.

10. Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Bayley and Lyra Valkyria — Women’s Tag Team Championship — Raw (October 27, 2025)
The tag team synergy between Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss might very well be the surprise story of the year. Nobody expected these two longtime rivals — who came up in the division together and were pitted against one another for years — to suddenly click and find a rhythm with one another the way they have. They’ve elevated each other across the board, and their in-ring compatibility has never been more evident than in this Raw main event for the Women’s Tag Team Championship.
It has to be said: Alexa put her working boots on in 2025. Throughout the year she stepped her game up, taking big bumps and working at a much quicker and sharper pace than we’d grown used to from her. And with Alexa by her side, Charlotte also found ways to reinvent herself — thriving in tag team action as a fired-up babyface, earning genuine fan support and adoration for maybe the first time in her career.
Across the ring for this Raw main event were frenemies Bayley and Lyra Valkyria — united in wrestling savvy if nothing else — making for yet another standout entry in this year’s stellar catalog of women’s tag team matches and Four Horsewoman encounters. All four women had the crowd eating out of the palm of their hand with breakneck tag-team action, but Charlotte and Alexa especially tapped into something special, closing the match with a perfectly in-sync double Natural Selection to retain the Women’s Tag Team Championships in one of the best matches the titles have seen since their introduction back in 2019.
2025 was special for the unexpectedly unforgettable team of Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss, and this match was easily their best performance.
9. Bayley vs. Lyra Valkyria — 2 out of 3 Falls Match — Raw (July 14, 2025)
This year has been incredible in so many varied ways for women’s wrestling that some unspoken heroes were bound to be overshadowed among the more obvious riches. She may not have had the flashiest year on paper, but Bayley quietly put in some of the best work of her career in 2025. There have been interesting character shifts, but more importantly there has been great in-ring work, perhaps her best since the early stages of her career. From tag matches like our No. 10 entry to clashes with both old and new rivals, she rebounded from being sacrificed at WrestleMania by becoming a stronger, sharper version of herself.
In this match she once again met Lyra Valkyria, a woman who has been nothing short of remarkably consistent throughout her entire WWE run so far. So consistent, in fact, that she arrives in the top portion of this countdown with three consecutive entries. Bayley and Lyra put their skills to the test only 24 hours after their incredible Evolution triple threat with Becky Lynch, stepping into a long, constantly shifting, unpredictable 2-out-of-3 Falls Match — something of a novelty in the women’s division and a chance for both wrestlers to lay it all on the line.
What followed was superb, timeless pro wrestling. Both women tapped into a grit and bite that defined the match, embracing the stipulation and meeting one another head-on from the mat wrestling to the strike exchanges. The dueling limb work, the physicality, and the steadily rising desperation elevated the whole thing to the point where you could feel the tension in the arena spike through the TV.
Ultimately, the upstart Lyra accomplished what might be considered an upset, catching the ring general Bayley with the Nightwing to earn herself a shot at Becky Lynch’s Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam.
Check back in tomorrow as we continue on the road to No. 1 with to Nos. 8 and 7!
