25. Jacy Jayne (c) vs. Tatum PaxleyNXT Women’s Championship — NXT Halloween Havoc

A lot of women emerged this year from being “underrated” to leaders of the pack. Maybe no two more than Jacy Jayne and Tatum Paxley, who both stepped out from the shadows and showed the audience that sometimes a little extra seasoning time to get things right isn’t so bad. In 2025, each woman refined their characters to perfection and proved they can hang with the best of them. They also both managed to climb to the top of NXT as Women’s Champion. Jacy did so at the beginning of the year and Tatum did it here at Halloween Havoc. The ring work was great, gradually transitioning from fairly basic wrestling to more dynamic action and reversals. Even though this match felt like it could go either way, it ended up being Tatum’s crowning moment in front of a hot crowd who wanted it bad.

24. Giulia (c) vs. Zelina VegaWomen’s United States Championship — August 1, 2025

A fantastic match that pulled Smackdown out of a slump at the time, this match stands as probably the best one to date for the Women’s United States Championship as well as the best main roster singles match for both Giulia and Zelina. An avalanche German suplex and gnarly moonsault raised the stakes for this hard hitting affair. Despite a few surprising near falls, Giulia finally retained in her first defense with the Northern Lights bomb, showing that the old Giulia can come to the phone when she’s called. Hopefully the quality of matches for the Women’s United States Championship can continue to reach this level in 2026.

23. Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins vs. AJ Lee and CM Punk — Wrestlepalooza

AJ Lee’s highly anticipated return to the ring is a strong candidate for the best mixed tag match in WWE history. All four wrestlers had great chemistry, but AJ and Becky especially stole most of the memorable moments here. AJ showed she hadn’t lost a step, combining speed and technique, while Becky responded with her characteristic intensity. Despite a hard crash through the announce table, AJ won the match for her and her husband by locking in the Black Widow for a big win, putting the exclamation point on her return to WWE.

Check back in tomorrow as we continue working our way down with matches no. 22 to 20!
