The first-ever NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament kicked off on this week’s NXT 2.0 and we now have two names who have moved forward to the semi-finals. Fallon Henley and Nikkita Lyons will meet in the semi-finals after defeating their respective first-round opponents.
First, Henley advanced after defeating Sloane Jacobs. Henley has been heading on an upward momentum lately and she takes this first win to prove that she will continue to do what it takes to climb the ladder in NXT. Fallon gets the pin after a running knee. After picking up the win the two embrace in the ring.
Second, Lyons defeated Arianna Grace. Lyons has been on a winning streak ever since her second match. Grace, the second generation superstar, made her debut for WWE on a recent episode of NXT Level Up. She defeated Amari Miller in during that bout. She didn’t fair as positive in her official NXT debut as Lyons defeated her.
The updated brackets are shown below. The other two first-round matches will be Roxanne Perez vs. Kiana James and Lash Legend vs. Tatum Paxley. The winner of this tournament will go on to receive an NXT Women’s Title shot.
