Victoria Crawford Feels Grateful For Time With TNA

Victoria Crawford’s time with TNA is up, but it brought her back into the ring. Formerly known as Alicia Fox in WWE, Crawford took several years away from the squared circle. She worked with TNA for a year primarily teaming with Tessa Blanchard.

On the Wednesday Hang with David Otunga, Crawford spoke to her fellow FCW colleague about her time in TNA.

“I went to TNA for a year and I knew a year would go by really quickly and then I felt that weird anxiety again like, ‘Oh my God, what am I gonna do after this again?’” She continued, “I mean, I’ve had some fun with TNA. It was different. But, it was short, you know? I knew it was gonna be short. I didn’t know how it was going to unfold, and that opportunity gave me the courage to get back in the public-facing part of wrestling, which I really, in my spirit, needed because in my innermost self, what I worked through was that feeling of not having to make myself better for the people. I thought, oh, you know, ‘After WWE, I’m gonna be better than Alicia Fox.’ I had all these expectations… I caught a loop coming in where I’m like, ‘I’m not trying to recreate, or fix.’ I’m not trying to be a better person for people. I’m trying to be myself, and the chance to wrestle as Victoria, it didn’t really occur to me until maybe just in the recent when someone asked me to sign ‘Victoria Crawford’ and I kind of thought about it and I’m like, for me, I’ve got a couple things still on my wrestling bucket list… It’s a pretty empowering thing to wrestle as yourself.” (Fightful/Transcript)

She continued, “TNA gave me the courage to come back, front face forward, and I’m forever grateful for them. I talked a lot about WWE but, TNA definitely taught me a lot too.”

Crawford also talked about rising TNA Knockout, Jada Stone, “That’s how I felt about Jada Stone. She’s so athletic and light. She reminds me of a little Trinity, Naomi. Unique.”

Crawford is a veteran of 20 years in wrestling. She started in OVW and then FCW.
