WarGames participants come into focus during a chaotic NXT main event

Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai battled in the main event of this week’s NXT 2.0.

Gonzalez was in the hunt for some revenge on Kai for costing her the NXT Women’s Championship to Mandy Rose just a few weeks ago. Prior to their match, Gonzalez vowed to use the same shovel that Kai used to attack her at Halloween Havoc to bury her tonight.

The shovel would end up being the instrument to cause a disqualification in the favor of Gonzalez without even being used. After being dominated the first half of the match, Kai would find her break when she moved out of the way just in time for Gonzalez to go shoulder first into the ring post. After a follow-up kick, Kai picked up momentum and during the picture in picture break would go on the offense.

Once Gonzalez felt as though she was back in control, she found herself driven into an exposed turnbuckle. Kai went for the shovel but Gonzalez took it away from her. Without being able to use it to her advantage, Toxic Attraction attacked Gonzalez causing the disqualification.

As Toxic Attraction and Kai have the advantage on Gonzalez after the bell rang, it would be Cora Jade first to come to help. After taking down Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne, Jade would toss her skateboard at Kai. Mandy Rose took down Jade which prompted an unexpected name to come out to the stage.

On crutches from her recent surgery, Zoey Stark came halfway down the ramp before Io Shirai came out and grabbed one of the crutches to use as a weapon as she went to take out the field. Kai fought back with Jade’s skateboard as a huge brawl between all of the women ensues.

As the crowd chants WarGames, Toxic Attraction, and Kai find themselves thrown from the ring. Gonzalez, Shirai, and Jade are left in the ring standing tall. Shirai takes to the mic and yells WarGames as the show went off the air.

It hasn’t been made official, but it does seem that WarGames on Dec. 5 will see Toxic Attraction and Dakota Kai vs. Gonzalez, Shirai, Jade, and one more participant.

Elsewhere on this week’s NXT, Persia Pirotta found herself in a 2-on-1 Handicap match against Jenna Levy & Gabby Stevens. This was supposed to be a tag team match with Indi Hartwell, but Pirotta gave Hartwell the pass as she accompanied her husband, Dexter Lumis, to a nearby medical facility. Lumis was attacked by Tony D’Angelo earlier in the night.

Pirotta took out both of her opponents at one time before hitting Stevens with a face front bodyslam for the pin. During the match, Robert Stone was scouting from the ramp and seemed impressed by Pirotta.

Other women on this week’s show include segments with Ivy Nile, Elektra Lopez who is intertwined with Xyon Quinn, and a new episode of ‘Lashing out with Lash Legend.’

Check back in with Diva Dirt for further news on the women of NXT and for when the WarGames teams are officially announced.
