It was confirmed after the Royal Rumble that Lita will be facing Becky Lynch for the Raw Women’s Title at the Elimination Chamber event. Lita took part in the Rumble match but wasn’t able to be the last woman standing to earn a shot at a title for WrestleMania. Instead, she came out two nights later on Raw and gave Lynch a huge challenge which Big Time Becks eventually would accept.
In the video above, Lita shares her training for her upcoming big match. In it, she discusses her own journey from being a trailblazer on the front end of her career to now being very prideful and wanting to show a new level and a new prime for women who are perceived to be past their “prime.” She comments on her physical journey from being vegan to focusing on her mental health and being by the ocean helps that.
She later talks about her opponent Becky Lynch and how she knew she was a star from first seeing her. Combined with this, she has been training and working on the knowledge of Becky’s moveset so that it can help her defeat her come Saturday. Furthermore, she adds that she knows every move she makes has to be on point and perfect. There is no room for errors.
Through all of her preparation, Lita ends the video with the emphatic statement – “The success I’m after is walking away as a champion.”
Regardless of who walks out of the Elimination Chamber event as Raw Women’s Champion their challenger at WrestleMania will be decided at the same event. Six women will enter the Elimination Chamber match where the winner will become the number one contender. With one surprise name to still be determined, Bianca Belair, Nikki A.S.H., Rhea Ripley, Doudrop, and Liv Morgan are the five we know will be in the bout.
Lita will be at Raw tonight for the go-home episode before the event this weekend.
