NXT Superstar Xia Li is looking into another venture outside of a wrestling ring. She will be in an amateur kickboxing bout that will take place in Orlando, Fla. this weekend. It will take place on Oct. 24 and she is listed under the name of Xia Zaho. She will be facing Anna Housel.
Prior to joining WWE on the NXT brand, Li has been a lifelong athlete in combat-sports. She first showed up with the company participating in both of the Mae Young Classic tournaments. Li is also the first-ever Chinese woman to be signed with the company.
She has recently paired with fellow NXT Superstar Boa. It isn’t clear how Boa will help Li just yet, but he appeared with a letter after she suffered her most recent loss to Shotzi Blackheart. The letter has prompted Li to request a match for this week from General Manager William Regal. Regal stated that he would take her request into consideration.
