Zelina Vega has returned from injury and she is now on SmackDown and she didn’t come alone. She has joined Legado del Fantasma who has made their debut on the blue brand simultaneously. Elektra Lopez, who was with the group in NXT, did not join them on SmackDown.
Legado del Fantasma made a statement in their debut as the three men of the group (Santos Escobar, Joaquin Wilde, and Cruz Del Toro) wearing masks sneak attacked Hit Row in the center of the ring. When B-Fab was going to check on Top Dolla, Vega appeared as the new member of the group and hit a hurricanrana followed by a running knee.
Once the attack was complete, the three men took off their masks revealing Legado del Fantasma. Vega took to the mic stating that she is back and didn’t come alone.
The one women’s match tonight was a tag team between Raquel Rodriguez & Shotzi taking on Xia Li and Sonya Deville. After a tag team maneuver had Shotzi take out Li, Deville was left alone with Rodriguez in the ring. Rodriguez hit the Tejana Bomb to get the pin and victory for her team.
In a Digital Exclusive, Rodriguez and Shotzi thanked Damage CTRL for bringing them together as the team is now eyeing up the Women’s Tag Team Championships.
Elsewhere, a vignette was shown in reference to the Viking Raiders. Although the woman’s face was not shown, it was quite evident by the voice that it is Sarah Logan. Logan was released by WWE in 2020 and has since had her first child with her husband, Erik of the Viking Raiders. Logan appeared once before in a vignette for the tag team recently.
Maxxine Dupri caught the man formerly known as Max Dupri attacking Mansoor and Mace backstage. She urged him to stop and he confirmed that he is officially once again LA Knight and will be taking on Mansoor next week.
There was no last build for the Extreme Rules match between the SmackDown Women’s Champion Liv Morgan and Ronda Rousey. A video package was shown replaying their rivalry.
The results from NXT: Level Up this week had Indi Hartwell victorious against Sloane Jacobs while Fallon Henley & Sol Ruca defeated Kiana James & Arianna Grace.
