Has Zelina Vega done enough to become the WWE Women’s United States Champion?
On the April 18 episode of SmackDown, Vega ends up defeating the champion, Chelsea Green, two weeks in a row in a non-title affair. This time, she won by pinfall instead of a count out victory, making the win solid. Green is the inaugural champion and has held the gold since December, successfully defending against Sol Ruca and Michin on a few occasions.
After her win this week, Vega says the following:
“I am the future United State champion. That is the message that I’m sending. I didn’t need any help. I know that she does. She needs her little suicide squad to help her win matches. That’s fine. But I don’t. I don’t need anyone. And if tonight proved anything, it’s that I can do this.”
The confidence may be oozing out of Vega, but the champion on the other hand is livid. She is livid with Nicholas, livid with the referee, she’s just livid.
“Let everyone know I’m serving them! Nicholas ruined everything, everything! That referee…he’s going to be served just like the last one! Everyone’s out to get me, everyone! They’re just jealous!”
Currently, a title match between the two hasn’t been confirmed.
