Diva Dirt presents live coverage of SHINE 17, airing tonight on iPPV.

The bulk of the show will consist of the SHINE Tag Team Championship tournament, where eight teams will battle it out to decide who will be the inaugural SHINE Tag Team Champions.

The SHINE Championship will also be defended, as champion Ivelisse puts her title on the line for the first time against Mercedes Martinez.

SHINE 17 comes to us live from the Orpheum in Ybor City, Florida at 9pm ET (2am GMT). To order the event, click here.

Live results will appear below.

Allysin Kay and Taylor Made defeated Su Yung and Tracy Taylor to advance in the SHINE Tag Team Championship Tournament. Su Yung worked the opening match of a SHINE show for the gazillionth time. This was a solid but unspectacular match with a couple of very nice spots, including a beautiful surfboard by Tracy Taylor on Taylor Made. The finish came when Made in Sin hit the Seven Deadlies on Yung.

The S-N-S Express defeat MsEERIE to advance in the SHINE Tag Team Championship Tournament. MsEERIE dominate early on, keeping their opponents grounded. Stephie then gains control of the match and her and Jessie Belle keep MsChif isolated for a large part of the match. Von Eerie eventually gets the hot tag, but becomes incensed after Nevaeh, standing at ringside, pulls the referee away during a pinfall count. In the ensuing confusion, Stephie capitalises with a Kiss My Sass for the victory.

The Buddy System defeat Malia Hosaka and Brandi Wine to advance in the SHINE Tag Team Championship Tournament. Hosaka and Wine were on the forward foot for most of the match, with Heidi Lovelace and Solo Darling making the occasional comeback. Hosaka at one point used the tag rope from the turnbuckle to choke Solo, before the match went out of control and in the chaos Lovelace rolled up Wine for the win.

The Lucha Sisters defeated Kimber Bomb to advance in the SHINE Tag Team Championsip Tournament. Leva Bates and Mia Yim were dressed in Hulk Hogan’s attire. This was a great, really fun match with some lovely flowing tag action. Mia Yim got the victory for her team with a package piledriver on Kimber Lee.

Serena Deeb defeated Angelina Love. This was an excellent, aggressive, back-and-forth match, but unfortunately most of the iPPV audience were unable to watch the first half or so. Towards the end, the referee was knocked unconscious due to a mistimed spear by Serena, who then got hit with the Botox Injection by Love, who couldn’t get the fall as the ref was still down. Serena locked in the Sweet Serenade to get the submission win.

Post-match, the remaining Valkyrie members came out to continue the attack. Heidi Lovelace and Solo Darling come out to make the save, and the first semi-final of the SHINE Tag Team Championship Tournament begins.

Allysin Kay and Taylor Made defeated Heidi Lovelace and Solo Darling to advance to the final of the SHINE Tag Team Championship tournament. Another solid, fast-paced match, and definitely the Buddy System’s best match since their formation. The finish came after a Seven Deadlies on Solo Darling following Heidi Lovelace being knocked to the outside.

The Lucha Sisters defeated The S-N-S Express to advance to the final of the SHINE Tag Team Championship. This was an awesome match, definitely the best of the night so far. Mia Yim picked up the victory for her team with a 450 splash on Jessie Belle.

Ivelisse defeated Mercedes Martinez to retain the SHINE Championship. The two started out with some beautiful mat wrestling before descending into a vicious strikefest. Finally, Ivelisse hit the Code Red to retain her title and win one of the best matches of SHINE’s history.

Post-match, Valkyrie come out and attack Ivelisse, before Martinez makes the save and the two embrace in the ring.

The Lucha Sisters defeated Made in Sin to become the new SHINE Tag Team Champions. A rollercoaster of a match, the finish came when Jessicka Havok appeared at ringside, shocking Allysin Kay and allowing Bates and Yim to hit a co-operative Sliced Bread followed into a moonsault by Yim for the three count, making Leva Bates and Mia Yim the inaugural SHINE Tag Team Champions and leaving Allysin Kay and Taylor Made seething. Five absolute top-shelf matches in a row from SHINE.

That’s all for tonight. Come back soon for a full review!
