Britt Baker vs. Tay Conti set for Full Gear; Ruby Soho advances in TBS Title Tournament

It has been made official that Dr. Britt Baker will be defending her AEW Women’s World Title against Tay Conti at the next AEW pay-per-view Full Gear on Nov. 13. Conti sits firmly at the top of the AEW women’s rankings giving her the number one contender spot.

Conti recently came to the aide of her tag team partner Anna Jay after Anna was further being attacked by Baker post match. Baker defeated Anna in a match on Rampage and executed the Lock Jaw once again after the match was over. Conti stormed to the ring to chase her off but would hold up the AEW Women’s World Title in the process.

Baker has held the championship since May 30 after defeating the longest reigning champion, Hikaru Shida, at Double or Nothing. Will she still be able to be champion after Nov. 13 or is this Tay’s time?

Soon enough, the AEW Women’s World Title won’t be the only gold for the women of AEW. Come January we will have a second title and an inaugural TBS Women’s Champion. The first match kicked off on tonight’s Dynamite and after battling Penelope Ford, Ruby Soho is the first to advance. She will face Kris Statlander in the next round.

The Bunny came down to ringside in order to try to intimate Soho and assist her tag team partner, Ford, with a win. Soho is still able to pull out the win despite the distraction due to Ford being caught with the brass knuckles. Soho rolled her up for the three count.

Ford and The Bunny surrounded Soho after the match, but Red Velvet came down to even the odds and chase them away. Velvet will be taking on The Bunny in a future first-round match.

The next first-round match on the schedule is between Serena Deeb and Hikaru Shida which takes place this Wednesday on Dynamite.
