On tonight’s AEW Dynamite, it’s Trios action as “The CEO” Mercedes Moné teams up with the Triangle of Madness’ Thekla and Skye Blue to take on the forces of Queen Aminata, Willow Nightingale, and Alex Windsor.
The Triangle of Madness and Moné make an unusual team, but they have been a thorn in the opposing team’s side for quite some time now. Windsor has her eyes sight on Moné’s TBS Championship come Forbidden Door.
Coming to observe the match is the AEW Women’s World Champion, “Timeless” Toni Storm. And across the arena is her challenger at Forbidden Door, the Ring of Honor Women’s World Champion, Athena.
Blue takes the brunt in the early goings of the match, but makes the tag out to Moné. Moné tastes ten chocolate kisses from Aminata, and soon gets a taste of her challenger in Windsor. The Triangle of Madness causes a distraction and corner Windsor from her team.
Windsor finally tags out to Nightingale and takes it to Thekla and Skye Blue. The match turns into chaos as both teams go at each other. Moné and Windsor finally meet again in the ring as Windsor locks in a Sharpshooter. Moné tags out Blue as both teams battle it out again. Unfortunately for Blue, Windsor locks in the Sharpshooter, and Blue taps out.
On the rafters, Storm and Athena brawl it out, as well as the teams in the ring. Athena manages to brawl Storm towards ringside. Moné likes what she sees, but both get ahead of themselves as Windsor and Storm lay both their challengers out. Storm challenges both Athena and Moné in a tag-team match with Windsor in Glasgow next week.
