On this week’s SmackDown, Naomi wanted some retribution from her elimination during the Royal Rumble.
An elimination caused by her nemesis Sonya Deville. Deville had also eliminated Naomi’s former tag team partner Cameron who had made a special appearance in the Rumble match before Naomi made her entrance.
Naomi confronted Deville this week requesting another singles match. She wanted it in five minutes but Deville stated she had a meeting. Instead, Deville suggested that Naomi face Charlotte Flair next week for the SmackDown Women’s Title. Not believing anything Deville tells her, WWE official Adam Pearce further signed off on that idea making Naomi feel better that the match will take place.
Aliyah continues to be undefeated in singles competition on SmackDown. She faced Natalya for a third time this week and the win came from a count-out. With both women being outside the ring, the official started the count to 10. Aliyah threw Natalya into the barricade and was able to make it back in the ring before the count of 10, but Natalya was not able to.
Moments later in the WWE Officials office, Natalya was irate stating that Aliyah has never legitimately defeated her. She demands a match next week that has to be decided by submission or pinfall in a Dungeon-style match. The match is confirmed.
In a WWE Digital Exclusive, Aliyah is trying to figure out what a Dungeon-style match is.
Later on, Natalya goes to find Aliyah in the women’s locker room to tell her what a Dungeon-style match is. As she goes to enter the locker room, Xia Li comes out, and the two exchange stares. Li walks away and Natalya says she will inform Aliyah next week.
