On tonight’s SmackDown, a preview was aired for this coming Monday’s episode of RAW. Asuka will be facing Charlotte Flair.
This past Monday was the fallout from WrestleMania and Asuka was facing Rhea Ripley in a rematch. Ripley defeated Asuka on Night Two of the big event and became RAW Women’s Champion ending The Empress of Tomorrow’s reign at 231-days. The rematch ended without a winner as Charlotte Flair attacked both women.
Flair had returned earlier in the night after being off TV for several weeks due to testing positive for COVID-19. Flair had challenged Asuka for her RAW Women’s Title at WrestleMania prior to her short hiatus but never received her answered. As a result, she wasn’t part of WrestleMania which caused Ripley to be the opportunist to not only get herself a title match but win.
In the preview that was aired during SmackDown, this match was announced as the main event of RAW. The write-up on WWE.com does not specifically state that as such.
