Dr. Britt Baker is now sitting at the top of the rankings and is looking right at the AEW Women’s World Champion as her next opponent. The champion, Hikaru Shida is fresh off a victory from last week’s Dynamite which caused Tay Conti to move down the rankings and elevated not just Baker but Thunder Rosa right behind her.
Baker has been focusing on the impact that the rankings truly mean for the division and she knows she is next to challenge for the gold. Although a title match hasn’t been announced yet and with the idea that Baker will continue to stay at the top spot, she will be in action next week at Blood & Guts. Her opponent has not been announced at this time.
On this week’s Dynamite, Kris Statlander had a match against Penelope Ford. These two have a history from before Statlander went out with her injury about a year ago. It was a strong showing by both women that could have honestly gone either way. Statlander was able to pull out a win by the end and stay undefeated since her return.
Jade Cargill had another promo revealed as well about her not needing a manager.
