On the May 24 episode of WWE Rivals on A&E the documentary show highlighted Charlotte Flair vs. Becky Lynch. The rivalry between the two spilled to their personal lives and the two talk about it.
Around late 2018 going into 2019 something shifted between Flair and Lynch. Flair talks candid about having body issues and explains how Lynch knew about this. Lynch admitted that she went to far in a post on Twitter making a joke about Flair’s breast implants. This was followed up by a segment on SmackDown where Lynch called Flair plastic. A comment that Flair says she didn’t know was coming.
Flair says she “felt used as a friend.” Lynch says she admits going to far on social media, but she wanted the crowd to care as much as possible so she wanted to make it as real as possible.
They also discuss the uncomfortable title swap segment from 2021. Here, the two champions at the time were drafted to opposite brands. With the Raw and SmackDown names attached to each title, there had to be a swap.
In doing so, Flair dropped the title belt. However, she maintains that it wasn’t on purpose.
The two friends have seemingly made up since. Flair has stated that Lynch sent her a long sincere apology.
