Hola a todos, and welcome to the CMLL Weekly Review! Ahead of their big matches for next week’s crossover shows with AEW and ROH, the CMLL World Women’s Champion Zeuxis and Persephone competed in a tag match versus one half of the CMLL World Women’s Tag Team Champions, La Jarochita, and one half of the Mexican National Women’s Tag Team Champions, Kira.
But first, on Tuesday night from La Arena México, there was a six-Amazon tag team match between the teams of Sanely, Olympia, and Dark Silueta against the other half of the CMLL World Women’s Tag Team Champions, Lluvia, the other half of the Mexican National Women’s Tag Team Champions, Skadi, and the Mexican National Women’s Champion, India Sioux.
After failing to capture the CMLL tag titles last week and aiming for the CMLL Japan Women’s Championship, Dark Silueta targeted Lluvia cowardly throughout the match, allowing for the heels to slow down the pace of the encounter, and in sync, they were able to control the match and get the first pinfall.
Their punishment continued for the second fall, but it was the powerhouse Skadi that was able to get the win for the babyface team after she did a running crossbody on Sanely and Olympia (and India Sioux) while Lluvia and Dark Silueta were fighting at the ramp.
The last fall was do or die for both of the teams. India Sioux relied on her high-flying moves, while Skadi continued to dominate with her strength, but after hitting Olimpia, Skadi crashed into her with a running crossbody. Sanely and India Sioux took advantage of it to take them out of the match with a simultaneous pin.
At the end, Lluvia was able to get the big win for her team with a “casita” pin. Post Lluvia and Dark Silueta had a catfight after Dark Silueta attacked her from the back.
Last Wednesday night on Dynamite, wrestling’s CEO, multi-champion Mercedes Moné, challenged Zeuxis for a title match at Grand Slam México. Zeuxis accepted and confronted her.
While Persephone will team up once again with AEW’s Thunder Rosa versus Billie Starkz and the ROH Women’s World Champion Athena at Global Wars México.
Last Friday night, both teamed up and successfully defeated their rivals La Jarochita and Kira. looking strong ahead of next week matches.
The match was fast-paced for the most part thanks to the high-flying moves of the babyface team. The match was won by the heels with double knees to the face and the razor edge.
We will also have the ROH Women’s World Television Champion Red Velvet facing Persephone and Kira in single competition next week.
