Cora Jade Explains Her Actions, Trashes NXT Tag Team Title Belt

Cora Jade and Roxanne Perez were on top of the world just two weeks ago. They had beaten Toxic Attraction at The Great American Bash and both were one week in holding their first pieces of WWE gold.

Last week, Jade attacked her own tag team partner and best friend in Perez’s NXT Women’s Title match against Mandy Rose. This has left the tag team champions torn apart and Jade explained her actions on this week’s show.

Jade says that she brought Perez into NXT and Perez just used her. Jade adds that it would have been her to face Rose last week but Perez came right in and ruined her moment. She adds that Perez isn’t present at the show because she is at home after the attack.

Jade would claim that there isn’t any woman who can beat her in the Battle Royal later in the night to become the number one contender. She would then say that all the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles represent to her anymore is a lie. The belt doesn’t mean a thing to her anymore so she dumped the belt into the trash can that was set up at ringside.

The women’s Battle Royal would take place in the main event. Jade would leave the ring at the start of the match as she was targeted by all of the participants. She would return at the end of the match to try and sneak a win in against Zoey Stark but would be swiftly tossed over the top rope. More on the Battle Royal can be read here.

The future of the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles is unknown, but in a backstage interview, Toxic Attraction was about to ask when would they get to get the titles back but were cut off in the middle of speaking. The KC’s and Nile/Paxley continued their rivalry in the Battle Royal while Yulisa/Valentina continued their teamwork.
