Tonight’s episode is big for the brand of NXT. It is the last episode before both Worlds Collide and the Royal Rumble. Worlds Collide will feature the NXT US brand go face to face with the NXT UK brand.
As previously reported, Mia Yim will take on NXT UK Women’s Champion Kay Lee Ray in a non title match on the pre show. On the main card Rhea Ripley will defend her NXT Women’s Championship against Toni Storm.
At this time no women from NXT have been announced for the Royal Rumble match but it is expected. On tonight’s show Storm will have to face Io Shirai before Saturday’s show.
