The 2026 WWE Money in the Bank event is happening a lot later this year than normal. The company normally hosts the event in July with some exceptions of it being in June or May over the years. This year, it will take place in September in New Orleans.
It is hard to believe that we are about to have our 10th winner of a Money in the Bank match. A 10th woman to be able to cash in and win a championship after so many years without this option on the table. So far, the women have a 100% success rate in cash-ins. Prior MITB briefcase holders include, Naomi, Tiffany Stratton, IYO SKY, Liv Morgan, Nikki A.S.H., Asuka, Bayley, Alexa Bliss, and the inaugural winner – Carmella.
Since Naomi won the briefcase last year, we have a number of new faces on the main roster. Those include – Lash Legend, Jordynne Grace, Sol Ruca, Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, Lainey Reid, and Blake Monroe. Any one of these women could snatch the briefcase this year, or it could go to someone who has been on the main roster for a short amount of time or someone who is a veteran.
