Emma provides a response to her shocking WWE return that took place this past Friday night on SmackDown.
In a social media post, she wrote on Saturday evening –
5 years ago today I was heartbroken feeling like my dream had come to an end. Today my heart is so full!
I’m overwhelmed by the amount of support I have. You guys are the best. Now… I’ve got some unfinished business to take care of!
Emma returned to answer the open challenge of Ronda Rousey for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. She was unsuccessful in defeating Rousey, but in a WWE Exclusive, Emma stated that she knows now what she needs to do to be the champion.
Prior to this match, her last match with WWE was against Asuka on Raw when the latter debuted on the main roster. She has worked with ROH and then IMPACT within the past five years and became one-half of the IMPACT Knockouts World Tag Team Champions alongside Madison Rayne.
Emma has officially been moved from the Alumni section on WWE.com to the SmackDown roster.
