And just like that… the Diva Dirt Flawless Face-Off: Divas Era Edition has officially wrapped!
Over the past several weeks, the community has laughed, debated, over-analyzed, and unapologetically stanned their favorites—and now, with Week 5’s final results, we close the curtain on one of the most fun (and chaotic) contests we’ve ever run.
Before we get nostalgic (or start plotting categories for the next edition), let’s celebrate our final set of winners—highlighting matches that defined the era, in-ring consistency that earned fan respect, and two women who proved just how over they truly were.
Best Diva’s Championship Match: AJ Lee vs. Kaitlyn – Payback 2013
One of the most emotionally charged matches of the entire era, this wasn’t just a title bout—it was the emotional final chapter of a months-long feud that blurred reality and storyline. AJ and Kaitlyn poured absolutely everything into this, delivering storytelling, physicality, and heartbreak in equal measure.
And here’s one of my favorite tidbits about this match: The women actually went over their allotted time. They knew the story needed room to breathe, and nothing was going to stop them from delivering the ending fans deserved. It’s no surprise this was the clear winner.
Best Women’s Championship Match: Mickie James vs. Beth Phoenix – London, 2008
Mickie James had big shoes to fill after such a high profile debut and her Women’s Championship against Beth Phoenix only further cemented her legacy. After months of chasing and coming up short, Mickie James finally conquered the Glamazon in front of a fired-up London crowd, capturing her fourth Women’s Championship.
By this point, Beth had been built as an unstoppable force—and Mickie had endured setback after setback, questioning herself along the way. That emotional payoff? It landed with fans then, and clearly… it still resonates now.
Best Main Event/Superstars Match: Gail Kim vs. Melina – Superstars, 2010
A true hidden gem. When weekly women’s matches were getting cut from Raw and A hidden gem if there ever was one. During a time when women’s matches were regularly getting cut from Raw and SmackDown, Superstars became the saving grace for those craving quality women’s wrestling.
Gail vs. Melina was a crisp, athletic, bump-heavy showcase that proved both women’s dedication to their craft. Both Melina and Gail fought to keep women’s wrestling alive on whatever platform they could, and honestly? This is such a deserved win for Melina, who’s been a standout performer all throughout this year’s Face-Off.
Best In-Ring Worker: Mickie James

Consistency. Storytelling. Physicality. Selling. Mickie did it all—week after week, against every type of opponent. Mickie wasn’t just technically sound. She was emotionally electric. Her athleticism and ring IQ were top-tier, but what truly set her apart was how she made you feel something with every match. From comedy segments to blood-feud brawls, Mickie made every single second matter—whether she was selling like her life depended on it or delivering moves with her own signature style.
Most Over Performer: AJ Lee & Mickie James (TIE)

For the first time in Flawless Face-Off history… we’ve got a tie!
After days of intense voting (and trust me, I checked the numbers multiple times lol), AJ Lee and Mickie James finished in a dead heat.
And honestly… I can’t imagine a more perfect outcome.
Both women were captivating, charismatic, and connected with the audience in ways few others could. Whether it was AJ’s pipe bombs, unhinged delivery, and “Black Widow” energy… Or Mickie’s emotional storytelling, infectious charisma, and ability to make the crowd feel every win, loss, and heartbreak.
Mickie was the biggest babyface in WWE right as the company transitioned into the Divas Era—balancing exactly what WWE wanted her to be while still pushing boundaries for women’s wrestling. And AJ? She carried that same energy on the back end of the era, being both the anti-hero and a voice for change. Two trailblazers. Two eras. One well-deserved tie.
From the bottom of my women’s wrestling-loving heart: THANK YOU to everyone who nominated, voted, commented, campaigned, and passionately defended their faves. This has been ridiculous in the best way possible, and I’m so glad we all got to celebrate this often-overlooked era together.
And don’t worry… this isn’t the end.
We’ll be back in a few weeks with the next Flawless Face-Off—focusing on the Women’s Revolution and beyond!
