Interim Women’s Title Match Set For AEW Full Gear

The biggest news coming out of the November 2 episode of AEW Dynamite is that Toni Storm will officially defend the interim AEW Women’s World Championship against Jamie Hayter at the Full Gear pay-per-view on November 19.

Elsewhere on Dynamite, Saraya and Britt Baker were both slated to participate in a sit-down interview with Renee Paquette, however Baker did not show up. Saraya took the opportunity to discuss how she’s had her eyes on AEW since the company launched a few years ago, and she felt that she could contribute to the growing women’s division.

Paquette wanted to address the elephant in the room and inquired about Saraya’s status as an in-ring competitor. Saraya teased there’s an announcement, but she has to confront “one more doctor” next week. Expect a major development in the Saraya/Baker feud on November 9 as we grow closer to Full Gear.

In the semi-main event of the evening, Jade Cargill defeated Marina Shafir to keep her streak and TBS Championship reign in tact. The bout was brief, however Nyla Rose and Vickie Guerrero were present on the stage to provide live commentary on the mic. Although Cargill retained, Rose still has possession of the title itself.

Looking ahead, Baker and Hayter will compete in tag action on the live episode of Rampage this Friday against the tandem of Madison Rayne and Skye Blue.

What did you think of this week’s show? Are you excited for Storm vs. Hayter? Sound off below!
