Meiko Satomura is still the NXT UK Women’s Champion just one day shy of her 365th day as champion.
NXT UK has had a little invasion from NXT 2.0 members Ivy Nile and Lash Legend and their time on the brand has been played out over the past few weeks. Nile made her NXT UK in-ring debut against Nina Samuels on the May 12, 200th episode of the brand. After defeating Samuels she would go right for the top of the women’s division and ask for a title match against Satomura. This was Nile’s first title match in WWE.
Despite putting up a hard-fought battle, Nile would fall victim to her first singles loss in WWE to the Final Boss. The final moments of the match had Satomura escaping a dragon sleeper with Nile’s shoulders firmly on the mat for a three-count in a backslide pin.
After the match, Satomura helped Nile up and the two embraced to end the show.
In a Digital Exclusive, the Diamond Mine’s Pitbull showed an emotional side when talking about her match with Satomura calling it an honor to step in the ring with her.
Earlier on this week’s NXT UK, Amale took on Eliza Alexander. Amale has been having issues with Alexander and Xia Brookside ever since Alexander debuted for the brand. The bad luck for Amale would continue as she would take a third loss in a row from the duo.
