Mercedes Martinez Crowned Undisputed ROH Women’s Champion

Mercedes Martinez is officially the Undisputed ROH Women’s World Champion after defeating Deonna Purrazzo unifying the titles. The two battled it out on this week’s AEW Dynamite in the main event. This was also Purrazzo’s first match in AEW as an IMPACT talent. Martinez won the match by submission.

Purrazzo had held the title since defeating the inaugural champion Rok-C in January. Martinez was crowned Interim Champion by defeating Willow Nightingale in April when ROH came back from hiatus.

The Virtuosa spent the first quarter of 2022 as a double champion and issuing Champ Champ challenges on IMPACT programming. She dropped the AAA Reina de Reinas Title to Taya Valkyrie last month.
