More Names Added to the NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament

A few more names were added to the inaugural NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament. The winner will win a contract for a future championship opportunity. The tournament begins next week and vignettes were aired this week for two more names: Fallon Henley and Tatum Paxley.

Henley and Paxley have been seen frequently on NXT programming as of late. They join the previous names confirmed of Arianna Grace, Kiana James, and Sloane Jacobs. Vignettes have aired for these five women but three others have mentioned that they will be taking part in the tournament as well. Those individuals are Lash Legend, Roxanne Perez, and Nikkita Lyons. This would make up an eight-woman tournament and it starts next week. The brackets have not been revealed at the time of this writing.

Perez was featured this week in segments alongside Wendy Choo. The two played tricks on the champions of NXT, all three members of Toxic Attraction. First, Choo turned up the heat on NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose as she was tanning. This had Rose turn completely red so that she was unable to go to the beach with Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne. When Dolin & Jayne went to the beach without Rose, they quickly were victims of the antics of Choo & Perez.

A non-title match between Dolin/Jayne and Choo/Perez is booked for next week.

Elsewhere on this week’s Spring Breakin’ edition of NXT 2.0. Natalya teamed up with Lash Legend to face Cora Jade & Nikkita Lyons. The match would be won by Jade & Lyons after a miscommunication between Natalya and Legend. Nattie went to take out Lyons who was involved in a pinning maneuver with Legend and the BOAT took out her own partner. This misstep had Jade tag back into the match to get the pin off a high-risk maneuver on Legend.

In a Digital Exclusive, Lyons confirms she will take part in the Breakout Tournament.

A new vignette aired for Alba Fyre (Kay Lee Ray). She will be in action next week for the first time under her new moniker.

Indi Hartwell was seen backstage in the locker room without a wedding ring on her finger. Based on the real-life releases of Dexter Lumis and Persia Pirotta, Hartwell is left without her on-screen husband and best friend/tag team partner. Duke Hudson who was in an on-screen relationship with Pirotta appeared and both he and Hartwell took a glance at one another. They faked a kiss between the two before being grossed out by the thought of it.
