Mercedes Martinez is officially All Elite.
The former NXT Superstar and veteran of the ring for 20 plus years has made her way to AEW. On tonight’s Dynamite, Martinez made her official debut in a big way by costing Thunder Rosa her chance at the TBS Women’s Title. Rosa was in a semi-finals match with Jade Cargill, and with the help of a masked Martinez, Cargill pulled out the win.
Martinez has made two prior appearances for the promotion. Once at All Out during the first Casino Battle Royale in 2019 and one appearance on AEW Dark the same year.
She worked in WWE for the NXT brand since the start of 2020 and was released from the company in August of this year. Since her release, she has appeared for IMPACT Wrestling where she earned a Knockouts World Title opportunity from a tournament at Knockouts Knockdown. She went on to challenge Mickie James for the title at Turning Point in November.
