Mercedes Martinez reportedly no longer with RETRIBUTION

It is being reported originally by PWInsider that Mercedes Martinez is no longer a member of RETRIBUTION. The faction finally revealed itself with five major members.

The five members were originally announced as T-Bar (Dominik Dijakovic), Mace (Dio Maddin), Slapjack (Shane Thorne), and two women. The two women were Mia Yim and Mercedes Martinez. When the three male members announced their new names, the women’s names were not announced on TV. The names were announced on social media as Retaliation for Martinez and Reckoning for Yim. The latter has her own Twitter account.

Mustafa Ali joined the group as its leader on RAW this past Monday. To further the speculation that Martinez is no longer a part of the group was a post made by Ali. He posted the following showing himself and the other four members, minus Martinez.

The entire group is listed together in the upcoming draft pool for RAW. In that listing, the name of “Retaliation” is still listed. This may mean that the sixth member is still going to be revealed and that there may still be a second woman in the stable.

As for Martinez, it is being said that she will return to NXT. Prior to making the jump to RETRIBUTION, Martinez was part of the Robert Stone Brand. She last lost to Rhea Ripley in a Steel Cage Match. There is no word on why this change was made or any official statement from WWE themselves. Once the draft concludes, we should have a better understanding of what will happen.
