You bring the coffee, we’ll bring the news! This is Diva Dirt’s news in brief, giving you the 411 on some of the little news items from the past couple of days. Let’s delve in, shall we?
* Update from yesterday’s post: Mia Yim and her partner, La Comandante, defeated the team of Senri Kuroki and Manami Toyota at the REINA show in Japan on Sunday. This gives Yim, who just celebrated two years as a pro, a huge victory over the Japanese legend — something few Americans can say they have done. The finish saw Comandante hit a chokeslam and pancha splash from the top on Kuroki.
Also on the same card, Hiroyo Matsumoto (SHIMMER) defeated Luscious Latasha (WSU).
* John Cena showed a surprising show of support for the WWE Divas signing a Twitter petition for WWE to give the Divas a chance. The petition is a plea to WWE to give the girls more screen time, storylines etc. Having the top guy in the entire company lend his support is incredible. Bravo to Cena.

* Despite her release on Friday, Melina noted on Twitter last night that she is on the road with her boyfriend, John Morrison, and has been attending this past weekend’s Raw brand house shows.
* As noted, Maryse attended the Teen Choice Awards last night and if you’re a fan of David Beckham, you have good reason to be jealous. Maryse posted a picture of her and the soccer star at the awards on her Twitter page. Click here to see it.
* AJ scored a big upset victory over Natalya at the SmackDown house show on Saturday night in Boise, Idaho. On her Twitter page afterwards, AJ wrote: “Who got a win over Natalya last night? This guy (points to self with thumbs). I’m sorry Nattie, but your princess is in another castle.”
* Former WWE Women’s Champion, Candice Michelle, chimed in regarding Melina’s release and Gail Kim quitting via Twitter. She wrote: “On @gailkimITSMe and @RealMelina! There 2 amazingly talented strong beautiful woman who have so much to look forward to! I wish them the best and can’t wait to see where their paths take em!”
* Former TNA Knockout, Taylor Wilde, has signed up to become a wrestling trainer at Ontario’s Squared Circle Training. Taylor will be teaching an all-girls class from September. You can sign up here.
* Diva Dirt reader, Alexis Wilson, who wrote in yesterday about meeting Debra, also noted that she met TNA Knockout, Rosita, at the NWA Legends Fanfest this past weekend. Rosita told her: “Working with Tara & Mickie is wonderful, they’re great & I grew up watching them so it’s cool.”
