One of the biggest new stories this year surrounding talent was WWE reacquiring Cody Rhodes back to the company from AEW. But what about Brandi Rhodes? Brandi was often utilized on-screen with AEW both in and outside of the ring. Brandi was also a former employee of WWE but during her previous time there her main role was as a ring announcer under the name Eden Stiles.
PWInsider’s report reads as follows –
Former WWE and AEW star Brandi Rhodes returned to the ring this past Friday, PWInsider.com has confirmed.
Rhodes wrestled during an in-house live event inside the WWE Performance Center. WWE NXT regularly holds live cards on Fridays to give developmental talents a chance to perform and improve.
PWInsider.com confirmed Rhodes worked in the ring last week but not the match she was involved in. Rhodes is not currently listed internally on the WWE NXT roster.
Fightful Select stated –
Fightful has confirmed that Brandi Rhodes was at the WWE Performance Center recently. While we haven’t heard that she’s signed any deal with the company one way or another, it wasn’t simply for a visit. We’re told that Brandi competed in a match at a PC Live event. We don’t have details on who she faced, but it was said to have been a “newer talent,” though we’re working to confirm that. The event took place August 12, and she was seen at the PC prior to that.
The last match that Rhodes had was with AEW against KiLynn King in January during an episode of Dark: Elevation. She came out with the victory.
Diva Dirt will provide any further updates on Brandi Rhodes’ status with WWE as they present themselves.
