NXT Heatwave Discussion Post: 08.16.22

Tonight’s episode of NXT 2.0 is titled Heatwave and there are two women’s matches scheduled for the card!

First, the former best friends and NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions will go into a one-on-one battle with tensions extremely high. Roxanne Perez will seek out some retribution against Cora Jade who turned her back on her just days after becoming tag champs.

The second match confirmed is for the NXT Women’s Title. Zoey Stark returned weeks ago and was put in a 20-woman Battle Royal which she ended up winning to become the number one contender. She will try to obtain her first singles gold in WWE by going up against the current NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose. Rose has been champion for 293-days.

Stark will also be teaming up with Nikkita Lyons for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Title tournament on the main roster. Will she go into that tournament with gold on her shoulder already?
