NWA Women’s Title Match Confirmed For NWA 74

The NWA World Women’s Championship will be defended at the NWA 74 two-night event and the champion Kamille now knows her opponent.

On this week’s special edition of EmPowerrr during NWA’s Powerrr broadcast, a number one contenders match took place as Taya Valkyrie took on KiLynn King. King recently had a shot at the champion and came up short. It would again not be the right moment for King as Valkyrie defeated her to become the number one contender.

Valkyrie will look to add a sixth championship (she currently holds five titles) to her current repertoire and become the new NWA World Women’s Champion. Some of her current championships include being one-half of the Knockouts World Tag Team Champions and the AAA Reina de Reinas Champion.

Kamille has been champion for 416-days and counting since she defeated Serena Deeb last year to take the gold. Speaking of the champion, she had to make sure she was getting to NWA 74 after she was also in action on this week’s show. She defeated Chelsea Green to retain her title. Kamille vs. Valkyrie will take place on Night One of the upcoming event.

Kenzie Paige, who is one-half of the NWA World Women’s Tag Team Champions, took on Kaci Lennox. This was the debut for Lennox in NWA. Paige would welcome Lennox to NWA with a loss.

A few other notes for NWA include the confirmation of the upcoming NWA World Women’s TV Championship. Madusa was present to introduce the new championship and was joined by Allysin Kay.

PWInsider first reported that this title would be confirmed on this week’s show and they stated it was appearing that Kay would be pushed to become the inaugural champion. If Kay is the one first crowned she will become the first Triple Crown winner in NWA women’s history. Kay says she felt that Billy Corgan created the title so she would win it. No further details were provided on when/how the champion will be crowned but most likely will be on Night Two of NWA 74.

Lastly, it was previously reported that the Burke Invitational will be returning for the second year. It will take place at NWA 74 on Night One and the winner will take on whoever the champion is between Kamille and Valkyrie on Night Two.

Lots going on for the women in NWA!
