Former NXT Women’s Champion Raquel Gonzalez has made her official debut on the SmackDown roster.
Now a new member of the blue brand roster, Raquel has a new surname and will be going by Raquel Rodriguez. She had a backstage interview with Kayla Braxton in which she said that SmackDown has one of the most impressive female rosters. However, she guarantees that they haven’t seen anything like her.
Before Rodriguez could finish her introduction, Los Lotharios interrupted. The duo tried to welcome the newcomer with a kiss, but she rejected their advances.
Rodriguez became a two-time NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion alongside Dakota Kai last Saturday at Stand & Deliver. She dropped the titles three days later on the April 5 episode of NXT 2.0. While Kai will go on to face Mandy Rose for the NXT Women’s Title on April 11, Rodriguez has now moved on to the main roster.
