Spoiler: New Knockouts Champion crowned

IMPACT Wrestling taped an upcoming show from Mexico City on Saturday night. Taya Valkyrie became the longest reigning Knockouts Champion in history during 2019. Actually, this month she surpassed a year as champion and it all ends at 377-days. We have a new champion.

Jordynne Grace defeated Valkyrie to become the new Knockouts Champion for the first time with the promotion. Grace has won several championships prior to signing with IMPACT on the indie scene around the globe. These titles were from such promotions as Progress, WSW, and WSU.

Valkyrie defeated Grace at Hard to Kill on Jan. 12. That match was a 3-Way that also involved ODB. After her win at the event, Valkyrie stated she had intent to go after the new IMPACT World Champion, Tessa Blanchard, as a title vs. title match. This obviously will no longer be on the table.

It has been previously mentioned that Valkyrie’s contract is up this month with the company and it is unknown if she intends on re-signing.
