Dashwood, known in WWE as Emma, was with the company for over six years and in that time frame, she worked through NXT (FCW when she first signed) and onto the main roster. She was in a position to be the very first NXT Women’s Champion as she worked her way through a tournament to determine the inaugural champion. She battled Paige in the finals, which Paige won.
While speaking with Captain’s Corner on Facebook, Dashwood reveals a feud that was supposed to happen.
“I feel like I worked with everyone that was there when I was. You know what, we were supposed to have a feud, Becky Lynch and I that we never really got to finish or it barely even got started, honestly. That was unfortunate because I think it would have been pretty damn good,” said Dashwood. “I would have kicked her ass too, obviously, but it didn’t happen, unfortunately.” [h/t – Fightful]
As stated above, Dashwood is the current one-half of the Knockouts World Tag Team Champions along with her tag team partner Madison Rayne known collectively as The Influence. This is Dashwood’s first major promotion gold despite her many years in the ring. The Influence defeated The IInspiration earlier in the month at Sacrifice.
“Basically, we kicked the IInspiration’s ass. May I say, also, this was my first championship in any major promotion in my whole wrestling career. I have been wrestling for 20 years, 10 years professionally, and this was my first championship.”
Dashwood sees a rematch against The IInspiration coming and perhaps Decay down the line. But a new tag team to defend her gold against is a thought as well.
IMPACT’s next big pay-per-view is Rebellion in April with no announcement as of yet who The Influence will be facing at that time.
