The Coven Scores Upset Win; Kong & Beautiful People Set For IMPACT 1000

This week’s IMPACT opened with Trinity returning to Chicago, the same city she made her IMPACT debut. Similarly, Deonna Purrazzo interrupted her and declared that Trinity won’t beat her twice. The Coven followed suit with KiLynn having a lengthy promo. But when all was said and done, a brawl broke out leading to an impromptu match.

It didn’t take long for King to overpower Trinity, allowing The Coven to take control in the early minutes. Purrazzo was able to come in but fell into the same trap. Purrazzo managed to pull out the Fujiwara Armbar twice on King. On the second try, Wilde broke it up.

Trinity ran in and tried for a roundhouse on Wilde, but she ducked and accidentally kicked Deonna instead. Wilde then tossed the champ out, allowing KiLynn to hit King’s Curse on Purrazzo to score the win.

Alisha Edwards talked trash on Traci Brooks backstage, which led to Jody Threat interrupting to defend Brooks in her absence. Alisha challenged her to a match next week to see if she can run Threat off as well.

Gisele Shaw beat Heather Reckless on BTI.

It was also announced that The Beautiful People’s Angelina Love and Velvet Sky, plus Hall of Famer Awesome Kong will be returning to appear on IMPACT 1000, which is being taped on September 9.
