After a phenomenal All In at Wembley Stadium this past weekend, we continue the aftermath of AEW’s biggest pay-per-view live on AEW Dynamite tonight!
In singles action tonight, one-half of the new AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions, Alex Windsor, takes on the former tag champ, Megan Bayne. The Divine Dominion wants to take out their frustrations after losing their championships at All In. But the Brawling Birds have a lot to prove here tonight after claiming the gold in their home country.
Bayne has a dominant performance during the get-go, but she eventually gets caught on the ropes as Windsor takes over. Both are just one step ahead of each other throughout the match, and find themselves up on the apron and crashing out onto the floor.
Lena Kross grabs the title belt and looks to do some damage, until Jamie Hayter puts a stop to it and starts brawling with her. Bayne finds the belt and takes Windsor out with the title. She props up Windsor and hits her Mega Bomb to pick up the win.
The new AEW Women’s World Champion, Mercedes Moné, is at Dynamite tonight to celebrate after her championship victory at All In. The CEO thanks the crowd and says she hasn’t stopped smiling since All In, alongside breaking records all over the world without anyone’s permission. She’s also happy that she got rid of Willow Nightingale, but unfortunately, paid the price for it because of her broken nose.
Thekla interrupts her toast and says she brought her own tequila to the party. She thanks “The CEO” for getting rid of Nightingale, but no one swings the world title just as toxic as her. The Toxic Spider is also aware that “The CEO is” calling everyone a “dumb bitch,” and that whenever Moné is ready, she’s ready to take back her title.
The CMLL World Women’s Champion and the new TBS Champion, Persephone, is backstage with a returning Britt Baker. Persephone looks to take over the AEW Women’s Division and plans to have The Doctor by her side.
