Three Knockouts Matches Confirmed For IMPACT Bound For Glory

It was an eventful night for the Knockouts division at IMPACT Victory Road.

On the Countdown pre-show, Tasha Steelz and Killer Kelly battled to a no contest. Savannah Evans attempted to choke out Kelly with a chain, but Kelly was able to grab the chain and use it on both Steelz and then the referee. Officials had to break up the hold as the match was later ruled a disqualification with Steelz the technical winner. Gail Kim revealed backstage that Kelly will be fined for her actions.

Mickie James defeated Gisele Shaw in a hard-fought hometown bout as part of The Last Rodeo. Shaw had an impressive showing from bell to bell, but she was no match for the MickDT in the end.

Mia Yim represented the Knockouts division in the X-Division’s Triple Threat Revolver. Not only was Mia Yim able to showcase her greatest hits, she made the first two eliminations by taking out Laredo Kid and Alex Zayne. Yim was eliminated by recent rival Kenny King before the bout was eventually won by Frankie Kazarian.

Jordynne Grace went up against Masha Slamovich’s hand-picked opponent in Max The Impaler. Max made their IMPACT debut here and held nothing back in the non-title match. Though she was on the receiving end of Max’s destruction for a majority of the bout, Grace utilized a sunset powerbomb and an impressive Grace Driver to defeat the Non-binary Nightmare. Post-match, Grace announced Masha Slamovich’s posion: a Monster’s Ball match against Allie Katch this Thursday on IMPACT!

In a bit of Bound For Glory news, Gail Kim has sanctioned Taya Valkyrie and Jessicka the chance to challenged VXT for the Knockouts World Tag Team titles at the pay-per-view in two weeks. We also learned that the mutual respect between Mickie James and Mia Yim has allowed them to agree to a match on October 7.

Below is the updated lineup for the Knockouts at Bound For Glory in Albany, New York:

  • Knockouts World Championship: Jordynne Grace (c) vs. Masha Slamovich
  • Knockouts World Tag Team Championship: VXT (c) vs. Taya Valkyrie & Jessicka Havok
  • Mickie James vs. Mia Yim
